Helping Hudson Valley humans capture all the in between
You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again.
That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.
“YOU CAN CALL ME JESS (SHE/HER). AKA YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!” And that is honestly how I felt throughout the whole process, literally love her! And I mean the photos really speak for themselves, they are absolutely flawless!” A + Tj
The origin story
Because everyone deserves one
I’m Jessica Marie, but you can call me Jess.
Jess (She/Her)
Items have always been a direct connection to history and storytelling for me. If it’s a vintage camera, a classic record, or a retro Japanese item, chances are I will collect it and keep it forever. Through these objects, I feel connected to stories and timelines that extend past my own. It’s a direct peek into the history and lives of other people, other cultures and other experiences I now have a chance to feel connected to.
Photographs are my way of bringing that sense of history and legacy to each and every one of you. Through a collection of your own photographs, I hope to help you freeze frame your own personal history for both yourself and for all those to come behind you. May your loved ones step through time over and over again as they browse through the galleries we’ll create together.
As a shy human myself, it’s important to me to foster a safe space for ALL of your humanity. Whether you struggle to feel comfy in front of a camera or just aren’t sure how to talk to a stranger, I’ll do my best to help lighten the mood and maybe, just maybe, we’ll both make a new friend.
Fun fact: I’ve also been a floral designer for a number of years. Too perfect, am I right? I mean who wouldn’t want a photographer who could also fix your bouquet or help you pin on those tricky boutonnières? I suppose I took Erma Bombeck seriously when she said "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'.”
